Sunny scooters

Isaac's birthday is coming up and my mum has kindly bought him a scooter and so that there's minimal fighting Isabel got one too (they still fight about who gets which one). Yesterday we popped everyone in the car and took the scooters along to a local playground and after they'd played with the sea monster (daddy) on their Viking ship and listened to the helicopter going round and round and round and round...  the scooters came out. Isabel mostly goes round in circles and Isaac mostly goes fast. 

And then Isabel had ice cream face on the way to a shadier park.

Mini beasts

And no, I don't just mean the kids.

Isabel did have fun pouring her milk into her porridge this morning and then pouring the ensuing mixture back and forth. 

There was a mini beast hunt - yes it was lunch time and yes both kids were still in PJs.

And then this happened.

So it wasn't until this afternoon that we finally made it to the beach (yes she's still in her PJ top). We inherited a great big hole ready dug and then played with a boat and a big castle (well until Isabel destroyed the castle) and then got out of there before the rain hit.

I have stripy feet and a tide mark where my leggings usually end - it's been that kind of a summer.

Mini break

The kids and I have popped to Norfolk for a few days with my mum. We're dodging showers as the weather is either bright sun or heavy rain and we're getting some of both each day. 

Isabel is lining shoes up in odd places...

We had a run round the charity shops and found some swimming goggles and a small tent.

It's not a toothbrush it's a supercat! Hours of fun with a novelty toothbrush.
