Drawing on the walls.

We've had a chilled day at home today. We're in the middle of a heatwave and it's very hot and humid here so inside in the relative cool was the best option.

We had a bit of piano playing. He's loving the demo here and clapping along to it.

Some delicious ice tea.

And then some chalking on the walls and floors.

Back in the swing of things

As we went away there were signs that they were finally going to start work on the 'improvements' to the park so yesterday we went to have a look at what they've done. Which is erm not a lot really...

There were a few diggers and dumper trucks though.

They're obviously not doing any repairs at the moment.

Or any grass cutting.

Isaac was straight up the climbing frame. What a difference a fortnight makes.

And straight up the big slide too.

Then we had to go and explore the gardening work that was going on.

And later he chose his own footwear for our trip to the supermarket.

And we're home

It was damp this morning and the cobwebs in the garden looked amazing.

Matthew helped with the packing...

As soon as we got home Isaac went in the garden and started playing in the sand. His idea of playing though was to put it on the dog. The bear quite happily lay there and then wandered into the kitchen ready to shake himself but was sent outside again.

Now you see it.

Now you don't.

Well except that he couldn't get it off his nose.

The Tide is High

The morning started with an elephant. Well an elephant hawk moth.

And a swallowtail of some sort.

Then some of us made friends on the beach.

He's realised he can swim. We're not sure if he was seeing if he the environment agency guy needed rescuing or if he was just being nosy.

Swing, swing ,swing

We had a long play in the park this morning with lots of climbing.

A little bit of feeding of the animals (he stood right at the furthest reach of where Finn was tied up so the poor dog nearly starved!).

And then he had to do more climbing.

And not content with going up one way he had to go up the other too...

And then climb even higher when he got to the top.

We did a bit of running.

And then a lot of lying.

Some swinging.

And some more swinging.

And yet more swinging.

The conversation of the day was mostly 'more swing'.

The a few chores.

Before a bit of drawing (note to self don't allow small child to walk around with a red marker pen, especially when the chairs have cream covers on...).

Isaac's favourite food of the moment.

And no this isn't a shop it's my mum's cupboard with locally made pottery.
