You know things are getting better when....

You get chance to make cake (Dorset apple cake - nice but the recipe needs a lot of tweaking).

And the sun shines.

It's been a lovely day here today and we maximised the sunshine by going to a park where I know there's no shade. It was a cold wind and any warmth from the sun didn't need to be watered down.

We had lots of fun. Both kids can work these swings pretty well with minimal help and there's enough challenge in the climbing for both of them. If I'm lucky I get a few minutes to sway gently on the big swing and watch the clouds.
