Our lovely old next door neighbour has had to move out as her health isn't good enough to live on her own any more. She used to have the most amazing garden that she spent hours every day tending to and it's been sad to see if slowly go wild in the months since she moved. We had a long standing arrangement that we could help ourselves to the apples that grew on our side of the fence but as there's no one living there at the moment I figured we should use the ones on the other apple trees too. Growing up into the tree were some brambles (blackberries) so I got as many as I could reach and made a bramble & apple crumble. Yummy. Although I'm sad that we seem to be moving into autumn already.
I also made a batch of Nigella's rocky road (although I add about 100g of raisins too). It's quick to do which is the important thing at the moment and bashing the biscuits is very satisfying.
I love your pictures. It feels rather like autumn here too, oh well!
