The Secret River

A few minutes walk from where we're staying is part of an old path that goes to Whitby Abbey. If we head a few hundred yards down the disused railway line and then go down the steps we come to a lovely tunnel and the off down the hill to a small river - probably a beck knowing the local lingo. It's the perfect place for Labradors and small children. Much fun was had and much splashing was done. The climb up the hill with a soggy Isabel on my back was good for my legs I'm sure but I was puffing by the top.
