Ne'er cast a clout and all that

The plan was to go to the beach today. And inland (even a few hundred metres inland) it was a pleasant day although windy. On the beach however it was freezing cold and blowing a gale. We didn't last very long!

So the plan was to go for a walk through the pine trees but the boy was tired and he's a bit poorly (he's got a bad cold) and he wanted to go home so that didn't last long either.

We stopped to have ice cream on the way back to the car. That didn't last long...

Although the boy is off his food and even ice cream couldn't entice him. He had fun climbing though.
